Best time to visit Tanzania

Tanzania is a country of highs and lows—it has the highest point on the continent and the lowest (Lake Tanganyika). And so the climate varies wildly within Tanzania. In the northeast, the country is mountainous and forested, and temperatures generally range between 50 and 70 degrees. Central Tanzania is a large plateau with arable plans, and the eastern shore is hot and humid. The average annual temperature is 68 degrees, although the savannah gets hot during the summer. There are two rainy seasons that you need to account for when making Tanzania Game Parks travel plans: between October and December, and between March and May.
