Volcanoes national Park

Its dramatic scenery, coupled with the opportunity to encounter these majestic creatures in their natural habitat.

Akagera National Park

Akagera National Park is a captivating blend of savannah plains, rolling hills, and lush wetlands. Named after the Akagera River, which flows along its eastern boundary, the park is a sanctuary for a rich diversity of wildlife, including elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, and numerous antelope species. Its varied landscapes provide habitat for over 500 bird species, making it a paradise for birdwatchers. Recently, the park has undergone significant restoration efforts, reintroducing lions and black rhinos after they were previously eradicated from the area.

Nyungwe Forest National Park

Nyungwe Forest National Park is a haven of biodiversity and natural beauty. Covering over 1,000 square kilometers, it is one of the largest and oldest montane rainforests in East and Central Africa. Nyungwe is a sanctuary for thirteen different primate species, including chimpanzees, colobus monkeys, and mangabeys, making it a prime destination for primate trekking and research. Additionally, the forest is home to over 300 bird species, including numerous endemic and migratory birds, making it a paradise for birdwatchers.
