On this tour you expect to encounter the best of East Africa’s most beautiful wildlife and scenic drives through the pearl of Africa and magical Kenya as you experience a once in a lifetime safari moment.

 

The trip takes you through the Kigezi highlands, south west of Uganda where the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest that is home to half of the world’s mountain gorilla population with magical landscapes that forced the famous British Prime Minister Winston Churchill to name the area as the Switzerland of Africa.

You will then drive through the savannah plains of Ishasha, south of the Queen Elizabeth park which is famous for spotting the tree climbing lions, herds of elephants, buffalos, antelopes among others as you go for one of the most amazing boat trips on the Kazinga channel that connects lakes George and Edward with massive numbers of hippos, cape buffalos, lots of bird species, elephants and much more. This will be preparing you again for a magical moment with the chimpanzees in the Kibale Forest national park, which is regarded as the primate capital of East Africa with an estimated number of 13 different primate species living in the tropical rainforest.

Itinerary

Today yow will arrive at the Entebbe international airport in Uganda and transfer to your hotel for relaxation and prepare for a once in a lifetime safari experience.

Accommodation at Lake Victoria View Guest House/

After a delicious breakfast, we shall drive south west of Kampala through the Ankole and Kigezi highlands while enjoying the beautiful landscapes and do a couple of stopovers en-route at the equator line for some photo sessions and coffee/lunch breaks. Expect to arrive at your hotel in the evening and relax as you enjoy beautiful views and sunsets with nature’s sounds.

Accommodation at Gorilla Mist Camp/Agandi Uganda lodge

Today you will encounter one of the trip highlights in Uganda as you set eyes on with the mountain Gorillas in their true natural habitat, the Bwindi Impenetrable forest. You will a delicious breakfast and head out for a briefing with the rangers about the rules to follow while on the Gorilla trekking encounter. You expect to carry some packed lunch while on the trek as you never know how long the trekking shall take and also hire a potter to help push and pull in case it gets tough while in the jungle. After finding the Gorillas, you will spend one hour with the gentle primates and then return out out of the forest.

We shall then have a short break and then drive to Ishasha, south of Queen Elizabeth national park that is home to herds of antelopes, elephants, buffalos, a number of leopards, hyenas and the incredible tree climbing lions.

 We shall wake for an early morning safari and have a picnic breakfast in the jungle as we watch the sun rise above the savannah plains of Ishasha. On the safari we expect to look out for tree climbing lions, leopards, hyenas, elephants, hippos, antelopes and much more wildlife that lives in this beautiful wilderness. We shall then drive to north of Queen Elizabeth park at the Mweya peninsula, where you will take on a 2 hour long boat trip on the Kazinga channel that will bring you in close contact with lots of hippos, water buffalos, birds, among others.

Be lazy in bed and have a relaxed breakfast as you enjoy nature’s sounds and then head out to Kibale forest national park through the beautiful and scenic volcanic crater lakes of Queen Elizabeth national park and the kasenda crater area. Expect to have lunch en-route and check into your hotel later in the afternoon or evening time

 It will be another beautiful busy day as you head out to the primate capital of east Africa on the look out of the loud but nice chimpanzees which have a 99% DNA count to humans. The trek is medium and normally takes 2-3 hours walking through the beautiful rainforest as you listen to beautiful sounds of birds, monkeys, forest elephants and much more. We shall then have an African lunch break with a family and then go for an afternoon swamp/community walk depending on your desire and interests

If you love monkeys, birds and nature; a 2-3 hour wamp walk would be good and if you want interact with communities as you learn about a few African traits, then a 2-3 hour walk through the villages would be the best option for the afternoon.

 After a lazy and delicious breakfast, we shall drive to Jinja which is regarded as the adventure capital of east Africa due to its adventurous water sports such as kayaking, white Nile water rafting, swimming, boat trips to the source of the river Nile and much more. Expect to have a stopover in Kampala the capital city of Uganda for lunch and have quick view of the beautiful city before heading out to jinja.

As you enjoy your last day in the Pearl of Africa; you will have a delicious breakfast right in front of the world’s longest river (The Nile) and enjoy the amazing views. We shall then transfer to Magical Kenya and stay in Kisumu which is one of the beautiful cities around the country.

 Today we shall have a 5-6 hours’ drive to the Masai Mara national reserve which is regarded as one of East Africa’s amazing BIG 5 game reserves and is home to 1000’s of wildlife such as lions, leopards, Rhinos, hyenas, buffalos, elephants, zebras, giraffes, gnus, topis, gazelles, elands, cheetahs and much more. We shall check into the lodge and relax as we prepare for the adventure safari in the mighty Masai Mara national park

 Today you will have a full day wildlife sighting safari in the Masai Mara national park on the lookout for the amazing wildlife

 We shall still wake up on an early morning safari to look out for more wildlife that we might have missed on the day before and then return to the lodge for a lunch break and afternoon relaxation. As it’s the case in Masai Mara with community conservation that ensures the Masai people to live in peace with wildlife, we can visit a Masai village and learn about their culture and how survive with n wild animals that know no boundaries.

You will today be transferred to the airport for the return flight back home with a bag full of beautiful memories from the pearl of Africa and the magical Kenya that will leave you wishing it was a longer trip. But as it’s always said, there is always something for next time
