to change. Each visa application is treated as an individual case. Always make visa inquiries with
your missions before traveling.

If you arrive in any of the destination countries without the valid visa or right requirements, you
will be denied entry and Adventure Consults will not be responsible for any inconveniences or
related costs.


The East Africa Tourist Visa; If you are traveling to or through more than one East African
countries, we recommend that you obtain an East African Tourist visa. This will allow travel
between Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda with the same multiple entry visa at USD 100 only. This
visa is the result of a joint initiative made by the Heads of States of the respective partner
countries to boost regional travel and create opportunities for tourists to explore the diversity
of East Africa.


Travelers from any country can obtain a multiple entry visa that will allow entry to the Republic
of Kenya, the Republic of Rwanda, and the Republic of Uganda for tourism over period of 90
days at a cost of USD 100.

Uganda:
Most countries’ citizens, with only a few exceptions, require visas. Visas can be obtained at
Ugandan missions overseas or at Entebbe Airport or land borders on arrival. As of July 1st 2016,
Uganda Immigration have implemented the use of Electronic Visa system. All visitors who
require an entry visa must apply through the online application system prior to arrival. At the
moment, the online system and obtaining visas on arrival are working CONCURRENTLY. Visas
will be available on arrival until end of July, then after must be obtained
via https://visas.immigration.go.ug

– Under visa or permit type select Visa
Under category select the visa that you need (Ordinary is a normal single entry tourist visa)
Upload the following documents:

  • A copy of the Bio data page of your passport
  • Your yellow fever vaccination certificate
  • A recent passport size photograph

  • Fill in your personal info & details of your stay in Uganda (fill in contact www.safarivacations-

  • On completion of the application you will receive a barcoded email notification. Print out this
    email and present it on arrival at Entebbe airport or any entry point to Uganda.
    The immigration officer will scan the barcode, take your finger prints and passport size photo.
    You will be required to make cash payment of US $100. Please note that dollar bills/notes
    printed before the year 2006 are not accepted. Bills must be clean and not torn or stained.
    A visa sticker will be printed with your photo and placed in your passport.

    Rwanda:
    In view of bilateral agreements, nationals of the following Countries may visit Rwanda without
    a visa for a period up to 90 days: Hong Kong, Philippines, Mauritius, Singapore and the
    Democratic Republic of Congo.
    EAC Partner states citizens’ shall be issued with 6 months visitors pass (renewable) upon arrival
    with no fee.
    Nationals of Australia, Germany, Israel, New Zealand, Republic of South Africa, Sweden, United
    Kingdom, and United States of America will be issued with entry visa valid for a period up to 30
    days and pay for a visa ($30) upon arrival without prior application.
    Nationals of all African countries traveling to or transiting through Rwanda obtains an entry visa
    upon arrival without necessarily making prior application and pay for a visa ($30) where
    applicable.

Nationals of the countries mentioned above not exempted from visa may also choose to get
visa at Rwanda Diplomatic Missions (except the UN Mission in New York) or online. If you opt

Key/common requirements to obtain visas to most Africa countries, among others include:
 You must hold return or onward tickets, all documents required for your next
destination and sufficient funds for maintenance during your stay.
 Valid passport for a minimum of 6 months upon the time of entry and with a number of
blank visa pages.
 International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever (for East African countries).
